There is an old saying about letting Sleeping Dogs remain prettily a slumber, but this pack of hounds from Square Enix refuse to stay asleep at the switch as the kung-fu kicking crime title returns to the number one spot. Last week saw Guild Wars 2 grabbing the top position yet as with many MMO titles after the initial hooray of launch day, sales figures have crashed with a downward turn of ar... more.

After weeks of high jumping, hurdle vaulting and throwing heavy stuff UK gamers have finally stop the obsessive purchases of the official Olympics video game. The dreadful summer of gaming downtime is almost over and thankfully a 'proper' title has taken the top spot in this weeks UK Games Chart. With the stylized violence of Sleeping Dogs being this weeks number one canine, the number two ... more.

You could be forgiven for thinking that Batman is invincible looking at the global charts of the last month or so. He and his superhero bud's have held onto the to spot with an iron grip, but Ireland has said "thus far and no further" as we see a new number one in this weeks GameStop's Irish Chart. The summer (or lack there of here in the Treehouse) is the perfect opportunity to get your te... more.

I'm no architect (saying that, when has having virtually zero knowledge of a subject stopped me from commenting upon it before, eh?) but I think we should knock all this steel and glass building work on the head. For a start it looks awful and I can only imagine what companies spend each year on bottles of Windolene. I have a far better solution. LEGO. Think about it. It's cheap, colourful and... more.

Ah gamers of Ireland, you never, ever, let me down. While your British cousins have been hood winked into shelling out top dollar for the Official International Sports Day title, you have made a fine and noble choice by putting your gaming funds into Koch Media's Dead Island: Game of The Year Edition, over at the mighty GameStop. In fact this weeks official GameStop chart for Eire is lookin... more.

All things Batman are hot to trot ahead of the release of the third in the Dark Knight movie saga and that is possibly one of the reason why LEGO Batman 2 is still at the top of the UK Games Chart. In other be-winged night stalking news the brilliant Arkham City finds it's back in the top 20 hovering at number 11. Still UK gamers waste their money on the official Olympic title, I'v said it ... more.

"Build it (out of LEGO) and they will come" and indeed they have for LEGO Batman 2 which holds on to the number one spot for the third week in a row. Unfortunately UK gamers are still insisting that they are looking forward to the two week long school sports day, or as it's known in the common tongue the Olympics, as the official game jumps up to number two with a sales bump of around 81%. Tut... more.

Ne-ne-ne-ne-ne-ne-Batman is flying high in this weeks GameStop chart and why shouldn't it be eh? Packed with tons of platforming fun and with all the humour that the LEGO titles are known for, it is no wonder that the Irish gaming public have come out in their droves to snap up a copy. The rest of this weeks top ten is dominated by Assassins Creed: Revelations on PS3 and Xbox 360 and two Ca... more.

"Whoa, let's make a new start, build a bridge to your heart" sang Wax back in 1987... I was going to writing something there about LEGO and building bridges, then tie it up with something to do with Batman in order to tell you that LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is this weeks number 1 in the UK Chart, but alas it seemed to like too much work for such a weak opening, so I'll bail out half way t... more.

People who know about these sorts of things have told me that there is an international kick-about currently underway. This would certainly explain why FIFA 12 has returned to the top of the UK games chart, I mean why the feck would you want to run around a large patch of grass, getting sweaty and red in the face when you can simulated all the mind numbingly boring 'action' from the comfort of... more.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier remains at number one in the GameStop chart this week as Ubisoft's latest shooter continues to sell like things that are really popular. The major changes in this weeks chart sees Dragon's Dogma and Diablo 3 both slipping from the top ten as Assassin's Creed: Revelations makes a return to the premiership of sales. This weeks UK Chart saw gamers over the other sid... more.

Gaming charts are variable little things. Unlike music charts nothing tends to hang onto the stop spot for all that long, it is very rare you will find a Brian Adams type scenario in gaming (see (Everything I Do) I Do It for You. Yes I note that for being the longest running number one in UK music chart history, but also because that was the last time I looked at the charts as far as I can rem... more.

Unlike many of the recent titles which have claimed the number one spot in the UK charts over the last few weeks Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has held the top spot for a second Monday in a row. Proving the old saying is true; it's not the size of the gun that matters but rather how much stamina you have. *Cough* moving swiftly one, Max Payne 3 held on to it's second place position despite a dro... more.

With 3 big releases arriving last week it is no wonder that the charts have seen a fair amount of movement. Max Payne 3 couldn't hold on to the number 1 spot it had obtained last week, which may have been because of the amount of booze Max gets through in a day. It's a wonder he can hold onto the floor. So, out of the latest releases who took the top position? No surprise really as Ghost Recon... more.

While gamers in the UK were getting all sweaty in the heat of Brazil with Max Payne, customers of GameStop in Eire went straight to hell making Diablo 3 this weeks number one in the Multiformat chart. I've just realised I may have been a bit suggestive about Max Payne's sexual preferences then. If your reading this Max, it was only in jest. Please don't come around here and overwhelm me with y... more.
