Hideo Kojima is usually very busy in his roles as Vice President of Konami Digital Entertainment and Executive Producer of the latest entry in the Metal Gear franchise but he has decided to take a sabbatical to where many underpaid gaming journalists such as this ape earn their rent – working on the till at GAME.
On the 22nd February he will be working in the GAME store in London’s Westfield White City for the official launch of this incredible looking title. The creative director on the series, Yoju Shinkawa, will also be there and they are going to take part in a Q&A session so if you want your question answered then tweet @GAMEdigital using the hashtag #GAMEasksKojima. The best questions will be answered on the night and on the strike of midnight the first 200 customers in the queue will be served by Kojima himself.
If you’re not into meeting your heroes because you’re afraid you’ll be disappointed then rest assured that the extras you’ll get if you preorder at GAME will not disappoint. You’ll get a Steelbook cover illustrated by Mr Shinkawa and a download code for Raidens Inferno Armour which increases the number of weapons you can carry and is not available at any other European retailer.
They are also encouraging fans to show up on the night in cosplay wearing their homemade exoskeletons or Gray Fox costumes. The only costume in my house is a French Maid outfit I thought would make a great gift to Mrs Hairyback. For some reason she didn’t appreciate but luckily I can squeeze into it and god damn it, I’ve got the legs for it. That’s bound to get me noticed in Westfield White City on the 22nd Feb.
