The ‘Tales of’ series of fantasy RPG’s from NAMCO BANDAI Games is known for Japanese cultural and anime influences as well as the use of renowned manga artists, illustrators and composers. Its also known for producing over 25 fantastic games since its release in 1995 and now the 13th flagship game, Tales of Xillia, is scheduled for release in Europe in 2013.
What’s really cool is that the company is showing it’s commitment to the international gaming community with the addition of Spanish, Italian, German, French and English texts. It’s nice to know that us European gamers aren’t always forgotten about and that makes this Ape all warm and fuzzy – and that’s not just my hairy back.
What’s also exciting about this release is that players will experience the game through a behind-the-back viewpoint, rather than the standard over-head viewpoint. Also, in order to make the experience more lifelike, the buildings and structures in towns are actual size compared to the character.
