Sony’s upcoming MMOFPS, PlanetSide 2, is quickly heading towards the first stages of beta testing and just to get all you want to be space marines in the mood they have released this brand spanking new CGI trailer.
SOE boss John Smedley took to the Twitters to announce that “The Beta will start next Mon or Tuesday barring any unforeseen circumstances”. We have already been told that it will be players of the original PlanetSide who will be invited to join the first testing sessions, followed by those with special codes and afterwards the rest of the hoi polloi.
PlanetSide 2 is a bold project indeed, with the Dev’s promising anything up to 2000 players being on the battlefield at any given time. This one is definitely one to watch.
