It’s not often that we want Death to hurry up and arrive, well, I have felt that way from time to time. I had to go the ballet once and an appearance from the Grim Reaper would have been most welcome after about fifteen minutes into the proceedings to be honest.
THQ and Vigil Games have confirmed that Darksiders 2 will not arrive until August (rather than June as previously thought) as the team needs a little more time to add some spit and polish to the follow up to the 2010′s Darksiders.
Although many fans will be disappointed that they’re not able to get their Death on in June, we would point out that this is a good thing and we wish that developers and publishers did this type of thing more often as it would lead to release not being riddled with more bugs than a flop-house mattress.
Here is what THQ’s community manager Mathew Everett had to say:
“Darksiders II will be moving to release globally in August 2012, rather than June as previously announced. It’s just a short delay, but we promise the game you’ll have in August will be well worth the wait!”
“This is great news for the team at Vigil, because it allows additional time for polish and to ensure that all aspects of Darksiders II meet the high-quality bar the team is targeting. In game development, more time is always a good thing for quality and the Vigil team is dedicated to providing the definitive Darksiders experience”
Darksiders 2 will be a slicing onto PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U.
