The soundtrack to a game is massively important, yet often overlooked by us gamers. Yet, if you stop and think about it some of the biggest selling releases have had the best soundtracks, take GTA for example. What better way to break up the crime-fest than to jump into a car and cruise around the city to a bit of what K-Rose radio has to offer?
We’ve been all about Lollipop Chainsaw over the last few months and now the game has had it’s soundtrack rundown released. Lets just say it’s a bit eclectic, take a look:
Lollipop – The Chordettes
Pac Man Fever – Buckner & Garcia
Rock ‘N’ Roll (Will Take You To The Mountain) – Skrillex
The Way of the Fist – Five Finger Death Punch
Stop Reading, Start Doing Pushups – Destroy Rebuild Until God Comes
Riot Rhythm – Sleigh Bells
Turtle Crazy – Toy Dolls
1,000 Cigarettes – MSTRKRFT
Heroes Of Our Time – Dragonforce
Nemesis – Arch Enemy
Needled 24/7 – Children of Bodom
Mickey – Toni Basil
You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) – Dead or Alive
Empire State Human – The Human League
Cherry Bomb – Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Speed – Atari Teenage Riot
I recon there is something there for just about everyone and the development team have made some excellent choices such as Toni Basil’s 1982 hit Mickey, which will fit in perfectly with the games vibe. As an aside, did you know that Toni will be 69 year old this year? That slightly creeps me out. Not sure why. This new video explains how the whole play-list came together.
Lollipop Chainsaw arrives on Xbox 360 and PS3 this June.
