Cheap as Chimps – 24th February 2012

As the weekend prepares to bring us fun, fun, fun, we here at Gamerillaz bring you the best prices on gaming from around the internet. This weeks Cheap as Chimps includes; bullets, bats, dragons and a famous moustache.

Bulletstorm; at HMV

Xbox 360 – £5.99/$9.43/€7.05

With the first video for Borderlands 2 arriving this week you may have found yourself in need of some over the top cartoon FPS action. Most fans of the original Borderlands maybe a little tired of Pandora by now, so to for fill that need why not check out the equally mental Bulletstorm? Released last year, this is a title which is silly, gory and downright distasteful at times and luckily we really like all of those three things. FPS fans who like their shooters with a little humour would do well to check this one out at such a bargain price.

Batman: Arkham City; at GAME

PS3 – £27.99/$44.07/€32.95
Xbox 360 – £27.99/$44.07/€32.95

The biggest of gaming awards are just around the corner and this stonking little title is nominated in a number of categories. Skyrim is the title that is the favourite for just about everything (including award categories it hasn’t even been nominated for) but if Bethesda’s enormous RPG hadn’t been released last year Batman: Arkham City would have cleaned up at the ceremony this coming March 16th. After the defeat of the Joker at Arkham Asylum our favourite superhero to take his identity from flying vermin (Pigeon man is very disappointing, all he does it leave white “marks” on peoples windows) turns his attention towards Arkham City and the sinister plans of Dr. Hugo Strange. You can find out more about the game in our review and if your going to treat yourself to one title this week, make it this one.

Mario Sports Mix; at Amazon UK

Wii – £19.46/$30.63/€22.91

Nintendo’s console does two things very well, it makes a reliable doorstop and gives families a chance to game together. From the ages of 9 to 92 everyone loves Mario and this sports collection will let you gather around the TV and compete against each other in everything from basketball to volleyball. Even if you don’t have a family to play this with you’ll be guaranteed a laugh if you combine this title with a few ‘refreshing’ beverages (and probably a trip to the hospital afterwards).
